THROWBACK: sephora store

this is the reason this blog has this name: throwback stardoll.
i'm a long time player, i've been playing since 2006/2007, and i miss the old stardoll so much. actually it was better than now. the young players will never know how great was spending the whole day actually playing stardoll, and not only caring about mere competitions.
today we will be talking about the first beauty store that stardoll ever got: SEPHORA
the makeup was considered expensive back then (4-5sds were like FILTY RICH) and only superstars who had money could buy on sephora. that means, everytime you saw a doll wearing makeup, that means the person GOT MONEY BITCH
the price range was 2-5sds, and we could buy a makeup remover for free. like, everyone had that item. and still, every old player has this makeup remover in his beauty parlor.
that makeup remover was no special, even some time later they added that feature for free in beauty parlor, we could remove the makeup without having to buy that makeup remover.
of course, the store was inspired by real makeup store sephora, one of the biggest beauty stores in the world.

some time has passed and DOT was released. it was a bit unexpected, but DOT offered a more color range, and different beauty products that sephora didn't (sephora was focused more on neutral colors)
sephora on stardoll had the kat von d collection, inspired by the collection with the same name on real life. everybody was DYING to put their hands on the collection, since the packaging was beautiful and the collection was (and still is) by the tattoo/makeup artist kat von d.
in june 21th, 2014, stardoll decided to re-launch the sephora store (calling it THE VERY BEST OF SEPHORA) for one month, and the prices were a bit high (do you remember in the past things were 5sd max? well, time has changed). also, don't expect them to re-re-launch the store, 'cuz they said it will never happen again. ever.
recently, in one of the latest callie's picks decor release (july, 2018, no.19 "bubble bliss") they released that makeup remover again. first off, new players thought it was just a decor, but the few active old players knew what it's all about.
a few hours later stardoll removed that item entirely off starplaza without further notice. staff said that item was glitching and they had to remove it. but personally, i believe they put it by mistake and then, regretted it.
